EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Opera’s 2025-2026 season will feature Puccini’s “La Boheme” as its featured production.
“‘La Boheme captures the raw beauty of youth, love and loss in artistic Paris,” El Paso Opera said in a news release. “Puccini’s lush score paints a portrait of passion that flickers brightly before fading into silence.”
El Paso Opera will give five performances of “La Boheme” spanning Jan. 30 to Feb. 7 in 2026. Performances will be held at the St. Rogers Depot, 420 N. Campbell.
This will also be the first season where Cherry Duke serves as the organization’s artistic director.

The El Paso Opera will also present “Bohemios” as a traveling show to different venues across El Paso. This is based on the same source material as “La Boheme.” It will be sung in Spanish with dialogue in English. This tour will be offered for free as a part of El Paso Opera’s dedication to community service, it said. Tickets will be available, also starting Sept. 15.
Also, the El Paso Opera will have a special fund-raising event called Encores and Overtures Gala: A Night in Monte Carlo. It will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight on Sept. 5 at The Elmont Special Event Center, 240 W. Castellano, Suite B.
