EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Three people, including two teens, were arrested after they were involved in two separate shooting incidents on Thursday afternoon, April 24, in the Upper Valley and South El Paso, the El Paso Police Department (EPPD) said
EPPD said that a 16-year-old male, who was not identified by name, was arrested and charged with deadly conduct and discharging a firearm inside the city limits. He was referred to the Juvenile Probation Department.
Jordan James Yarde, 17, and Antonio Abel Morales, 32, were arrested and charged with deadly conduct discharging a firearm and discharging a firearm in the city limits.
Yarde has an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance, and Morales another additional charge of theft of property with a previous conviction. They were both booked into the El Paso County Detention Center, according to EPPD.
EPPD said that shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a shots-fired call at the 200 block of Hillview Avenue in El Paso’s Upper Valley.
When officers arrived, they learned that the suspects shot at a home from a blue vehicle and then fled the scene, EPPD said.
EPPD said that during the investigation, officers received a second shots-fired call just after 4:10 p.m. along the 600 block of Nino Aguilera in South El Paso.
A description of a blue Honda Ridgeline was associated with the call.
As officers responded to the location, an officer observed a blue Honda near the 300 block of Saint Vrain Street in South El Paso.
Police said through their investigation, they learned that the 16-year-old male, along with Yarde and Morales, were responsible for the shootings, EPPDs said.
EPPD said no injuries were reported in these shootings.
