EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police Department’s (EPPD) Crimes Against Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help on any information about a “suspicious” death that happened on Wednesday evening, April 2, in Central El Paso.
EPPD said officers responded shortly after 7 p.m. on Wednesday to the 4000 block of Filmore Avenue about a welfare check.
Officers located a dead male and requested assistance from Crimes Against Persons, EPPD said.
EPPD said this is the seventh murder of 2025 compared to five murders at this time in 2024.
