EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 58-year-old El Paso man was killed over the weekend when he tried to make a left turn, failed to yield the right of way and was T-boned by another vehicle, El Paso Police said.
Police say 58-year-old Javier Camacho Armendariz was killed in a crash late Friday night, March 7 in South-Central El Paso near the Chamizal National Memorial.
The crash happened shortly before midnight at the intersection of Delta Drive and San Marcial Street.
Police say Armendariz was traveling south on San Marcial and tried to make a left turn onto Delta.
He failed to yield the right of way and was T-boned by another vehicle, police said.
Armendariz was transported to a local hospital where he later died, police said.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
This is the 10th traffic fatility in the El Paso city limits compared to 12 at the same time last year.
