EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 23-year-old man was seriously injured after a crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles on early Sunday morning, Aug. 17, in West El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department (EPPD).
Shortly after 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, the Special Traffic Investigations unit responded to a crash involving a motorcycle at the 5100 block of N. Mesa.
The preliminary information revealed that a Hyundai Sonata was northbound and made a U-turn on Mesa. Police said it is believed to have struck the motorcycle, which was traveling southbound, and seriously injured the driver, a 23-year-old man.
A dark colored sedan was also involved in the crash; however, it fled the scene.
As KTSM 9 News previously reported, the seriously injured man was airlifted to a local hospital via Fire STAR as a level one trauma patient with serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
