EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso Police Department (EPPD) officer was out in Central Texas supporting the response efforts after flash floods took the lives of more than 100 people, the department announced on Thursday, July 10, via Facebook.
EPPD said Officer Aceves was in Kerr County with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) surveying the area from the air.
The department shared the following statement:
“The El Paso Police Department stands with Central Texas. One of our EPPD officers, Ofc. Aceves, was in Kerr County with Texas DPS to support the response efforts in surveying the area from the air. Our hearts are with the families and communities affected by the recent flooding in Kerr County.”
