EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso groups and organizations will be hosting various Veterans Day celebrations in honor of the men and women who served in the military. Veterans Day is on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Here’s a list of those events:
Downtown El Paso Veterans Day Parade
The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, beginning on Myrtle Avenue, and will wrap around til it returns onto Texas St. The parade route is above.
Fabens ISD Veterans Day 2025 Celebration
Fabens ISD is honoring vets with a ceremony on Monday, Nov. 10 at Fabens High School’s Wildcat Den, 601 NE G Ave. Veteran registration and breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. and the ceremony starts at 9:30 a.m. Keynote speaker Deputy Commandant CSM Donald S. Collier III will participate in the ceremony.
City of Socorro’s First Veterans Day Parade
City of Socorro’s first Veterans Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 at Cougar Park, 10664 Socorro Rd. The parade begins at Bulldog Championship Park. Guests can enjoy a car show, live entertainment, food and jumping balloons after the ceremony.
Horizon City Veterans Expo 2025
Horizon City will have a Veterans Expo from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Desmond Corcan Park, 13969 Veny Webb St. Guests can enjoy free event with food trucks, local vendors and fun for the kids.
Veterans Day Ceremony
El Pasoans can attend the Veterans Day Ceremony at 10 a.m on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 9550 Gateway North. Fort Bliss Army Band and Military Honor Guard will participate in the event, with the following guest speakers:
- Fort Bliss Maj. Gen. Curtis Taylor, senior mission commander
- El Paso VA Leadership
- Rio Grand Honor Flight
- Bob Wagner, retired veteran
El Paso VA Veterans Day Celebration
The El Paso VA will be hosting and participating in various ceremonies across the region in honor of Veterans Day, starting on Friday, Nov. 8. Here is a list of the events:
- Last Roll Call
- Friday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. to noon at Fort Bliss National Cemetery
- El Paso VA Health Care System Veterans Day Ceremony
- Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the El Paso VA Main Facility, located at 5001 N. Piedras St.
- Veteran Chess Day
- Thursday, Nov. 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the South Central Wellness Center, located at 350 Revere St.
- Faces of Service Unveiling Ceremony
- Friday, Nov. 14, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the El Paso VA Main Facility.
