EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Symphony Orchestra will conclude its 94th anniversary season with its “Fabulous Finale – Classical Trio” concerts.
The Fabulous Finale concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, at the Plaza Theatre in Downtown El Paso.
Before the beginning of the concerts, there will be a free “Opening Note” with Nathan Black at 6:30 p.m. on April 25 and 26 to “get insights on the program, composers and artists,” according to the news release by the El Paso Symphony Orchestra.
The concert will kick off with the performance of Dvořák’s “Carnival Overture,” which will be led by conductor Bohuslav Rattay.
Then, Austrian pianist Kiron Tellian will perform Rachmaninoff’s “Concerto for Piano No. 3, op. 30, D minor,” the El Paso Symphony Orchestra said.
To conclude the concert, the orchestra will tell the story of Stravinsky’s “Petrushka,” a tale of the love triangle between three puppets and the desire to become human.
