EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso area veterans group will honor first responders at its next meeting.
The Greater El Paso Chapter of the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) is will hosts its First Responder Awards for 2024-2025 at its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Applebee’s, 1985 George Dieter.
The awardees are:
- Law Enforcement Unit of the Year: East Montana Patrol Station Criminal
Investigation Unit (El Paso County Sherrif’s Office) - Lt. Oscar Torres
- Sgt. Salvador Vergarra
- Deputy Alexander Valencia
- Detective Michael Saenz
- Detective Rogelio Arreola
- Detective Claudia Gomez
- Detective Luis Guzman
- Law Enforcement Officer of the Year: Detective Cesar Dominguez (EPCSO)
- K-9 Law Enforcement Team: Deputy Jose de la O and K-9 Walter (EPCSO)
The event is open to the public.
