EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso Water Parks are kicking off their 2025 season at the Chapoteo Water Park on Saturday, May 3, Destination El Paso said in a news release.
The year, the water parks, run by Destination El Paso, will open with a staggered schedule throughout May, with themed celebrations and special events.
The season kicks off at Chapoteo Water Park, 1225 Giles Road. This water park will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration and will mark the first official opening of the year and first special event of the year, Destination El Paso said.
The fun continues the following weekend with Lost Kingdom Water Park opening on Saturday, May 10, followed by Camp Cohen Water Park opening on Saturday, May 17, in honor of Armed Forces Day. Memorial Day weekend marks the official opening of all four parks – including Oasis Water Park.
“We’re excited to welcome back families and visitors for another unforgettable season at our El Paso Water Parks,” said Daniel Arizpe, director of water park operations at Destination El Paso. “With a variety of opening events and signature programming throughout the season, there will be something for guests of all ages to enjoy across all four water parks.”
Throughout the season, guests can look forward to special events, including themed guest nights, swim lesson programming, sensory exclusive hours and more. These events are designed to enhance guest experience, offer inclusivity and celebrate the community’s rich culture and seasonal traditions, the news release said.

- Chapoteo Water Park, May 3-4, 1225 Giles Road.
- Lost Kingdom Water Park, May 17-18, 6001 Hughey Dr.
- Camp Cohen Water Park, May 24-25, 9700 Gateway North
- All water parks will officially open on Saturday, May 24, including Oasis Water Park, 13502 Jason Crandall Dr.
