EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Water is working to repair a water main break in the Montana Vista area, a spokesperson for the water utility said Sunday morning, Aug. 24.
Crews have been on scene of a main break at Montana and Krag overnight, the spokesperson said.
That has left a “large portion of customers” north of Montana between Flager Street and Araceli Avenue without water, the spokesperson said.
A water tanker with potable water is located next to the Valero gas station for customers to use, the spokesperson said.
A majority of the work overnight was to extract water from the area, but Sunday morning, crews have been able to get to the broken waterline to begin assessment and repairs, the spokesperson said.
This is the second main break El Paso Water has dealt with this weekend. The other happened in the Lower Valley.
