EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso woman is dead following a pedestrian crash on Sunday morning, Sept. 28, along Interstate 10 in Las Cruces, according to the New Mexico State Police.
Officers learned that on Sunday, a FedEx commercial motor vehicle was traveling east on I-10 near Mile Marker 136 when it struck a woman who was walking in the middle of the eastbound lanes of travel.
The woman, identified as 27-year-old April Preciado from El Paso, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to State Police.
The driver of the FedEx truck appeared to be uninjured, State Police added.
The crash is under investigation.
