EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – To celebrate the Leap Year, the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens will be offering a special discount to guests who visit the zoo dressed in costume, the City of El Paso announced in a news release.
The city says that guests who visit the zoo in costumes or attire of any animal or insect that “leaps” – a frog, grasshopper, rabbit, monkey, tiger, mountain lion, or any other leaping animal – can enjoy $2 off admission on Saturday, Feb. 24, and Sunday, Feb. 25.
In addition, there will be zoo animal encounters for families to enjoy, plus all zoo attractions will be open including the Foster Treehouse Playgrounds, and Hunt Family Desert Spring splash pad (weather permitting), according to the city.
For an additional charge, visitors can ride the Hunt Family Endangered Species Carousel and try out the Copper Canyon Ropes Challenge.
