EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Interstate 10 in West El Paso will need to be closed for three nights this week as El Paso Electric makes improvements to its “energy delivery system,” the company said.
The closure will be nighly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 28 until Friday, Jan. 31. The closure will impact east and westbound traffic between Artcraft and Transmountain.
To safely work on these upgrades, commuters are asked to follow detour signs and respect construction barricades. Closures and traffic detours will be assisted by local law enforcement and Apache Barricade and Sign, El Paso Electric said.
Detour details:
- For westbound I-10 traffic: Exit Artcraft Road to Doniphan Drive to Spur 16 to I-10
- For eastbound I-10 traffic: Exit Transmountain Road to Spur 16 to Doniphan Drive to Artcraft Road to I-10.
