EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 30-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing another man early Sunday morning, July 7 in El Paso’s Lower Valley, according to the El Paso Police Department.
Miguel Eduardo Teran-Moral, 30, was arrested for murder and is currently booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $1,000,000 bond, according to EPPD.
EPPD responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at roughly 3 a.m. on July 7 at the 200 block of S. Glenwood. The assault was then upgraded to a shooting, according to EPPD.
Ivan Dario Bello Espitia, 29, had multiple gunshot wounds and died due to his injuries, according to EPPD.
EPPD’s Crimes Against Persons unit obtained an arrest warrant for Teran-Moral who was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
EPPD said this is the 11 murder of 2024, compared to 23 at this time last year.
