The family-friendly event, Art from the Heart, will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 at La Viña Winery located at 4201 Highway 28 La Union, New Mexico.
The event will feature a variety of booths with games and prizes for children including ring toss, mini-bowling and face painting. Local food trucks will offer a variety of delicious food items and music, according to a news release from EPCHF.
EPCHF said the event will also showcase children’s art prints and collectibles available for purchase, as well as an art auction.
Admission is free, but donations are welcome, according to EPCHF.
“The Children’s Healing Arts Program is an integral part of the pediatric care continuum at El Paso Children’s Hospital, significantly enhancing the lives of children and their families by making their hospital experience less stressful. The program supports children undergoing treatment for cancer and other illnesses,” read the news release.
“Our pediatric patients benefit immensely from engaging in the arts, as it allows them to use their creativity and self-expression to better cope with their illnesses,” said Abigail Tarango, Ph.D., Executive Director of EPCHF. “Our Second Annual Art from the Heart event will help fund this essential program.”
