KTSM News – EPCSO: Man breaks into apartment, starts breaking stuff

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 40-year-old San Elizario man was arrested after breaking into an apartment with a knife and then breaking items inside the home, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said.

Richard Ayala, 40, was arrested and charged with burglary of habitation, criminal mischief and resisting arrest in connection with an incident on Nov. 30 along Socorro Road.

According the the Sheriff’s Office, a witness called them about a person armed with a knife who had broken into an apartment along the 12100 block of Socorro Road.

Deputies arrived and arrested Ayala. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Center under a $155,000 bond, the Sheriff’s Office said.
