EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder after a shooting that left a Fort Bliss soldier dead and another injured early Sunday morning, July 21 outside a bar in East El Paso, according to El Paso Police Department.

EPPD said officers were patrolling the area of 1610 N. Zaragoza (Legendz Bar) just after 12:20 a.m. Sunday morning, July 21 when they heard gunfire. Officers were directly behind a white Dodge Charger when this occurred.
Officers observed the first victim, Fort Bliss soldier Manuel Rafael Rivera-Pohl, 24, as well as a second victim, a 26-year-old soldier, on the ground after the shots were heard and the white Dodge Charger passed them, according to EPPD.
EPPD said officers attempted to stop the white vehicle, however, the driver did not stop and fled the scene.
The incident was captured from the video of the patrol vehicle, but EPPD said the video will not be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
A warrant was obtained for the arrest of Kwesi Nataniel Bacchus whit a charge of murder. Bacchus was placed under arrest and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $1,000,000 bond.

As we previously reported, Pfc. Rivera-Pohl, an AH-64D Apache helicopter crew chief, was the soldier who died. The 26-year-old soldier with the 1st Armed Division was initially hospitalized but has since then been released, Fort Bliss officials said.
Additionally, two other victims were mentioned, both 19-years-old, but EPPD did not specify if they were injured in the shooting.
