EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Several hundred customers in Northwest El Paso are experiencing low water pressure or no water service as El Paso Water crews are working to make repairs to a second water main that broke on Thursday evening, Dec. 5, the utility announced in a news release.
EPWater said the 16-inch line is located near Via Descanso Drive and Los Pueblos Drive.
Despite efforts to restore service to homes in higher elevations, crews immediately began emergency repairs to the water line, EPWater said.
The utility said residents impacted by the main leak at Ojo de Agua Drive and Via Descanso Drive earlier this week, will once again experience a service outage through the overnight hours until the repair is complete.
To help customers during this time, EPWater is providing two drinking-water trucks for impacted residents in the following areas:
Ojo de Agua and Via Descanso
High Ridge and Via Serena
The utility said customers are asked to take their own containers to fill which can be used for handwashing, brushing teeth and flushing toilets. Water gallons will also be available.
