TONIGHT: The skies will be partly cloudy early evening with clear skies overnight. A significant reduction in mid-level moisture means that storms will be out of the picture for a few days. The SE winds will range from 5-15 mph, and the low will drop to 76.
FORECAST: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert for the potential for extreme heat, especially on Friday. Thursday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and a high of 105. Friday will also be partly cloudy with a high of 106. We’ll have a very slight chance of late day storms on Friday. On Saturday, the ridge of high pressure begins to break down. With a high of 100, expect widely scattered showers and t-showers by Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be partly to mostly cloudy with widely scattered showers and t-showers and the threat of heavy rainfall out of some individual storms. Sunday’s high: 96. Monday will be partly to mostly cloudy with widely scattered t-showers and the threat of heavy rainfall. Monday’s high: 93.
