KTSM News – Family displaced after house fire in El Paso’s Lower Valley

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A family was displaced after house fire early Saturday morning, Dec. 28 in El Paso’s Lower Valley, El Paso Fire said.

The fire happened shortly before 1 a.m. along the 8000 block of Bowen Road near the intersection of Alameda and Yarbrough. No injuries were reported, but a family of four and one dog were displaced.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire in a home’s attic that had spread from their chimney.

A total of 15 fire units were called to the scene. The Red Cross is assisting the family.

Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze.
