EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A family was displaced after a residential fire on Thursday, Jan. 23 in Organ, New Mexico.
According to Doña Ana County Fire Rescue, crews responded just before 10 a.m. on Jan. 23 at the 5000 block of Chula Vista Road.
Las Cruces Fire Department assisted DAFR in the response and both crews worked to contain and extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported, and the American Red Cross assisted the displaced family.
According to fire officials, the fire originated in the chimney.
