RUIDOSO, N.M. (KTSM) — Friends and family have identified the man who died in the Ruidoso floods as Benjamin Timothy Feagin.
The Village of Ruidoso announced the death of two children, later identified by family as Sebastian and Charlotte Trotter, and a man on Wednesday, July 9, after they were swept downstream by the flash floods.

Police have not released the identity of the man, but family and friends are asking the community for help through a GoFundMe.
Ruidoso police and authorities have not formally identified the children victims either.
All donations will be used towards funeral and burial costs for the Feagin family, the GoFundMe stated.
According to the GoFundMe, Feagin was staying at the same RV park as the Trotter family and was swept away by the floods.
Feagin’s son, Timmy Feagin, and his wife went to look for Benjamin Feagin a day after the floods, when the owner of the RV park told the family they couldn’t find him, the GoFundMe stated.
The GoFundMe said police called Timmy Feagin after they found bodies, two children and one adult man.

Timmy Feagin and his wife confirmed the body of the adult man to be Benjamin Feagin, the GoFundMe stated.
According to the GoFundMe, Timmy Feagin had recently bought a piece of land in Ruidoso and was planning to build homes on the property and live together on the ranch.
Additionally, Benjamin Feagin just bought a camper in Ruidoso to live in while his new home was being built, the GoFundMe stated.
