EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The family of a Bowie High School student who died after he collapsed during a football game last September will be accepting his diploma in his honor.
As we have previously reported, Daniel Esparza died after he collapsed during the school’s football game against Ysleta on Friday, Sep. 8, 2023.
The University Medical Center of El Paso confirmed on Monday morning, Sept. 11, 2023, that Esparza had died.
Esparza’s family will accept his diploma on Tuesday afternoon, June 11, at the Don Haskin’s Center during Bowie High School’s graduation ceremony.
