EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Are you looking for a new pet? El Paso Animal Services is hosting its annual “Clear the Shelter” month-long event where all adoptions are free.
KTSM has partnered with El Paso Animal Services to help find as many forever homes for all of their adoptable pets.
Last year, Clear the Shelters helped find 851 homes in El Paso. Nationwide, there were 157,000 pets adopted and over 1,400 shelters participated.
Throughout the month of August on every Saturday, KTSM will have on-site adoption events at the following locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
Aug. 10: Mattress Firm at 1886 Joe Battle Blvd., Suite 101 (Next to Target)
Aug. 17: Elosie, located inside Turtle Cove Shopping Center at 126 Shadow Mountain Dr., Suite A.
Aug. 24: Vado Speedway in conjunction with Outlet Shoppes at El Paso at 7051 S. Desert Blvd.
Aug. 31: Mutts Canine Cantina, located at 460 Vin Rambla Dr.
Over 30 Nexstar stations — the parent company of KTSM 9 News — will be participating in the campaign, which aims to clear out shelters and find forever homes for pets in need.
