EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Fire Department is currently responding to a possible ruptured gas line in South Central El Paso.
The Fire Department says the call came in just before noon Thursday, Feb. 13 in regards to a condition three hazmat situation at South Glenwood Street and Delta Drive regarding a possible ruptured gas line.
The Fire Department says no injuries have been reported and the Red Cross is assisting elderly patients who are being evacuated from an adult foster home that’s near the area.
The elderly patients have been evacuated as a precaution.
Texas Gas is at the scene and is currently working on securing the line. El Paso Electric is also at the scene to secure utilities to neighboring homes as a precaution, according to the Fire Department.
