EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) –A structure fire damaged a home early Monday morning, Aug. 4, in Las Cruces, according to the Las Cruces Fire Department (LCFD) in a news release.

LCFD said that just before 2 a.m. on Monday, firefighters responded to the 4000 block of Victorian Red Place to a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire on the back porch of the residence. The first-arriving engine company initiated a fire attack, deploying a hose line and quickly knocking down the fire. The fire was brought under control within ten minutes, according to LCFD.
LCFD said firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the interior of the home and minimized further property damage. No injuries were reported.
