EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A former coach with a youth cheerleading organization has been arrested and is accused of recording the owners of the group without their consent, according to jail records obtained by KTSM and interviews with the alleged victims.
Christopher Sotelo is charged with two counts of invasive visual recording. He was arrested Saturday, Aug. 30 but has posted a surety bond and is out of jail.
The owners of the Texas Bandits All-Stars cheerleading organization confirmed Sotelo was once employed with them but was fired after the incident.
The owners of the organization, who asked not to be named, told KTSM that they were the victims and they were recorded without their consent.
The owners said they are pressing charges and there is an ongoing investigation.
