EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A Fort Bliss soldier has died and another soldier was injured after a shooting outside an East El Paso bar this past weekend, Fort Bliss officials confirmed.
As we have previously reported, police responded just after 12:20 a.m. Sunday morning, July 21, to reports of a shooting at Legendz Bar at 1610 N. Zaragoza.

The shooting happened out in the parking lot in front of the bar and two men were injured.
One of the victims, a 24-year-old man from Fort Bliss, who was a soldier with the 1st Armored Division, has died.
The second victim, a 26-year-old man from Fort Bliss, who is also a soldier with the 1st Armed Division, was initially hospitalized but has since then been released.
Pfc. Manuel Rivera-Pohl, an AH-64D Apache helicopter crew chief, was the soldier who died, Fort Bliss officials said.
“The thoughts and prayers of every Iron Soldier are with the family, friends, and teammates of Pfc. Rivera-Pohl during this difficult time. We remain committed to ensuring that those impacted by this tragic event receive the support and resources they need. The El Paso Police Department is currently investigating the incident. We appreciate our first responders for their quick response to ensure the safety of our community and the care they administered to our Soldiers,” said Maj. Gen. Curtis Taylor, commanding general of the 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss said,
