EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Fort Bliss will conduct an installation readiness exercise on Tuesday, June 17, the Army post said.
“It entails a simulated scenario that is intended to assess and enhance Fort Bliss’ readiness for potential emergency situations,” Fort Bliss said on a social media post.
The exercise will involve emergency vehicles with sirens and flashing lights and some select areas will be temporarily blocked off by emergency personnel taking part in the exercise.
The exercise will take place around the 1st Armored Division Chapel and the Sergant Major Bouelvard and Staff Sgt. Miller Street areas.
Fort Bliss said it wants to assure the public and members of the military community this will all be part of a scheduled exercise.
“We apologize in advance for any minor inconvenience and will seek to minimize disruption to the extent possible. Most/all installation facilities and services are expected to continue as normal on Tuesday. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us further enhance our installation’s readiness,” Fort Bliss said.
