EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A new free two-day festival, the El Paso Science Festival, is coming to the Borderland from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 6-7 at the El Paso Convention Center.
The festival seeks to inspire the “scientist of the future” by featuring over 70 interactive exhibits that cater to all ages, making a fun and engaging educational experience, according to a press release sent by the El Paso Community Foundation.
Festival highlights include the following:
Hands-on exhibits: Attendees can immerse themselves in interactive exhibits that explore various STEM fields, including robotics, physics, astronomy, chemistry, geology and more. Experts will be on hand to guide visitors through exciting experiments and demonstrations.
Main stage demonstrations: Engaging performances and presentations will enthrall audiences, bringing science to life through captivating displays and discussions.
Speaker series: Renowned scientists from the greater El Paso area will share their insights and experiences, inspiring the next generation of STEM enthusiasts.
Special guest and Astronaut José Hernández will share his inspiring story, from migrant farm worker to astronaut.
