EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — In response to the recent flooding that has impacted families in the Vado area, representatives from the Doña Ana County/City of Las Cruces Office of Emergency Management will be working with staff from the Gadsden Independent School District (GISD) to coordinate critical relief efforts.
This coordinated effort will take place starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 30 at the Vado Speedway, located near the center of the affected community.
During this event, GISD will assist Doña Ana County/City of Las Cruces Office of Emergency Management in identifying families directly impacted by the flooding, ensuring that resources reach those most in need, the school district said.
They will provide much-needed food supplies, which will be delivered to the affected families in a controlled and targeted manner, the district added.
“This initiative underscores GISD’s commitment to supporting families in times of crisis and highlights the strength of collaboration between local agencies,” the district said.
