Posted on April 30, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Fire Department responded to a hazmat situation on Wednesday, April 30, in El Paso’s Lower Valley.

The Fire Department says they responded to a small medical center on the 8000 block of North Loop to reports of a gas odor.

“Construction in the area may have hit a gas line,” the Fire Department said.

Texas Gas is on scene, and crews have ventilated the nearby medical office suites, the Fire Department said.

Texas Gas will be handling the incident and has called dig crews to look at the area.

No further information has been released.
