EL PASO, Texas (KTSM)—The El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens is inviting you to a gender reveal party for the newest member of the giraffe family.
The event will be live-streamed at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 on the El Paso Zoo’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
The six-foot baby calf is the second giraffe born at the El Paso Zoo after Obi, who recently left for the Dallas Zoo to start his own family, according to the El Paso Zoo in a news release.
“This is a testament to the Zoo’s commitment to wildlife conservation,” the El Paso Zoo said.
The giraffe calf is currently in a private, off-exhibit area where staff are closely monitoring its health and providing specialized care, the Zoo said.
