EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Sunday, Borderland! The weekend was filled with sunny skies throughout the day and isolated showers into the night and that won’t change as we head into the workweek.
A cooling trend will be seen throughout the region over the next few days, with not a triple-digit forecasted for this week. Monday will bring a high of 95 and plenty of sunshine up until the evening hours. Clouds will start rolling in just after 5 p.m. where parts of El Paso can expect to see some isolated storms. The low will be 72.
Tuesday is more or less the same with a high around 94 and low of 73. However, precipitation is expected to show up after noon.
The same trend follows into Wednesday and Thursday where the highs range in the low 90s and the lows are tracking into the low 70s. Light winds will be present both days with sunny skies up until noon. That’s when storms will enter the area once again and storms will be possible well into the late-night hours.
Come Friday is when precipitation chances are the highest, reaching 40%. The high will be near 93 and the low about 70. As we inch closer to the weekend, those chances for storms dissipate. The highs will still range in the low 90s, creating humid conditions but still a much-needed break from the 100-degree temperatures.
