With our first triple-digit day of the year next week, who could forget the “Misery Meter of 2023?” Last year was in the record books with 70 days at 100 or hotter, 33 days at 105 or hotter, and 3 days at 110 or hotter. Let’s hope this summer is not nearly that hot.
TONIGHT: It will be a gusty early evening. The SW winds will range from 15-40 mph before slowly dying down overnight. The skies will be clear excluding a slight dusty haze, and the low will drop to 65.
FORECAST: Friday will be sunny and beautiful with warm breezes in the afternoon. The SW winds will range from 10-30 mph, and the high will be 94. On Saturday, a powerful low-pressure system sweeps through the Borderland. This will cause SW winds to gust to near 50 mph causing a slight dusty haze. Saturday’s high: 96. Sunday will be sunny and breezy with a high of 94… a beautiful day. Memorial Day will be sunny and breezy with a high of 96. The SW winds will range from 10-25 mph. High pressure begins to build quickly over the Borderland. On Tuesday, expect mostly sunny skies, warm winds, and a high of 99. We’ll have another shot at our first triple-digit day on Wednesday with a high of 100. Wednesday will be sunny with hot SW winds. Thursday will be mostly sunny with stronger gusts and a high of 100.
