EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — With Halloween right around the corner, KTSM has compiled a list of events you and your family can attend to celebrate the holiday.
“Zombies vs. Survivors” laser tag
A Halloween laser tag event for all ages will be held from 6 p.m. through 11 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Shoppes at Solana located at 750 Sunland Park Dr. A contest will also be held to win two $50 tickets for the next upcoming “Battle in the City” laser tag event.
Night of the Living Dead
A Halloween-themed play to take place from 8 p.m. through 10 p.m. on Oct. 18 through Nov. 3 at the El Paso Play House located at 2501 Montana Ave. The play is a “theatrically staged adaptation of the George A. Romero classic ‘Night of the Living Dead’,” Visit El Paso said.

Fort Bliss Monster Bash
A magic show, games, crafts, food truck court, inflatables, and three levels of haunted houses starting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 18 at Biggs Park located at 11388 Sgt. Major Blvd in Fort Bliss.
Chinatown Ghost Tour
A ghost tour starting from 8 p.m. through 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 in Downtown El Paso at 315 Mills Ave.
“The Chinese were an integral part of El Paso history, yet they were shunned and forced underground. Arriving with the railroads, Chinese laborers quickly developed the largest ‘Chinatown’ in Texas. Rumors of tunnels abound in downtown El Paso. Walk with us and discover for yourself if the rumors are true during our Chinatown Ghost Tour,” Visit El Paso said.
Concordia Cemetery Ghosts and Gravestones Tour

Halloween Boo Bash 2024
Live entertainment, free prizes, and more at the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso. The event starts from 4 p.m. through 6 p.m. on Oct. 19.
‘Glow in the Park’ event at Teentober Fest
The event will be from 5 p.m. through 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Memorial Park Reserve. The event will feature several activities including live music, bands, a DJ, and special performances. Teens who attend can also participate in a costume and cosplay contest, a giant inflatable nightclub, dancing with glow sticks, and party favors.
More than 25 informational booths will offer workshops and resources on wellness, fitness, and more, according to the City.
Spooky Fest and Trunk ‘R Treat Fall Festival at Camp Cohen
A family-friendly Halloween event from 2 p.m. through 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct.19 at the Camp Cohen parking lot located at 9700 Gateway Blvd N.
The event will feature trick-or-treating from local vendors and participants, a farmers market feature, live entertainment, a petting zoo, games, contests, and other Halloween-themed
activities for all ages.
Fall Festival at El Paso Maida Shrine Auditorium
El Maida Shriners has teamed up with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) for the Fall Festival, which will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at the El Maida Shrine Auditorium, 6331 Alabama St.
The event aims to provide foster families and their children with a fun afternoon of costumes, candy, music, and more
It also aims to spread awareness of the need for more foster and adoptive families for children in the community.
El Paso Fire Department to Host Sparky’s Spooktacular Halloween Event
The El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) is inviting the public to its Sparky’s Spooktacular Halloween event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the EPFD Training Academy located at 6800 Delta Dr.
Halloween costumes are encouraged and the Fire Department will have prizes for a fire-themed Loteria and costume contest.
Families can also meet and greet firefighters, play games, trick-or-treat, and tour a spooky haunted house. The event will also encourage safe Halloween practices for the entire family.
Boo at the Zoo returns
The El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens are inviting the community to “Boo at the Zoo” on Saturday, Oct. 26, and Sunday, Oct. 27.
The event will include meet-and-greets with characters, Halloween dance and costume contests with prizes, themed displays featuring skeletons, Super Mario, and Candy Land, Special Halloween shows at the Wildlife Amphitheater, stilt walkers, and a Halloween DJ.
Guests are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes.

Halloween Fest at Franklin Mountains State Park
A carved pumpkin contest, a Halloween costume hike, and learn all about bats at the Halloween Fest from 9 a.m. through 12 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Franklin Mountains State Park.

Halloween Trunk or Treat Carnival at Eastwood Park
A Halloween carnival that will include low sensory activities from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will be open to the public from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at Eastwood Park located at 3001 Parkwood.
The carnival will offer fun activities, candies, chocolate, and sensory toys. El Paso Animal Services will also be present to allow the community to adopt or foster a dog. The El Paso Police Department and the El Paso Fire Department will also be present.
Community Invited to Halloween Carnivals 2024
The City of El Paso is inviting the community to celebrate Halloween at the annual Halloween Carnivals from 4 p.m. through 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, and Thursday, Oct. 31 at various recreation and community centers.
The carnivals will feature jumping balloons, music, carnival games, candy, and treats. Families are encouraged to dress up.
The City’s Parks and Recreation Department is also offering low-sensory carnivals for families who prefer a quieter and more relaxed experience. These sessions will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at five designated recreation centers throughout the city.
