EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man was arrested after he was driving while intoxicated and crashed into a rock wall on Thursday, May 29, in Horizon, according to the Horizon City Police Department.
Police say just after 8 p.m. that Thursday, officers responded to a report of a vehicle rollover crash at the 700 block of Teichelkamp Drive in Horizon.
Upon arrival, officers received information indicating that a vehicle had crashed into a rock wall, causing the vehicle to roll over, police said.
Officers were then able to locate the driver, who was identified as Mauro Esquivel Rosales, who had fled the scene before police arrived, police said.
Rosales was medically evaluated and cleared. He was then arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to report striking a structure, fixture, or landscaping.
He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $2,000 bond.
