EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 45-year-old woman was arrested and charged with DWI and possessing a controlled substance after she was observed speeding last weekend, Horizon City Police said.
Horizon Police said they arrested Peral Pulaski, 45, and charged her with DWI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.15 or more and possession of a controlled substance.
At about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, Horizon City officers stopped a vehicle after the driver was seen speeding along the 14600 block of Horizon Boulevard.
Officers said that Pulaski exhibited signs of being intoxicated.
She was then arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Officers then found a controlled substance inside her vehicle, police said. They did not specify what type of drugs she was found with.
She was arrested and booked under a bond set at $3,000.
Horizon City Assistant Chief Jose Kluge said: “Driving while intoxicated is a serious offense which places our community in danger. Please ensure you use a ride share or make other arrangements for transportation if you are away from home and plan on drinking.”
