EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A teen was arrested and charged with assaulting a family member last month in Horizon City, the Horizon City Police announced in a news release on Monday, June 16.
Police said Andres Alejandro Esparza was arrested and charged with assault on a family member by impeding breathing under a $5,000 bond.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, officers responded to an assault in progress call at the 700 block of Teichelkamp Drive in Horizon City, police said.
Police said that upon arrival, officers made contact with the victims, who reported that Esparza had physically assaulted them during an argument.
Following the investigation, Esparza was taken to the El Paso County Detention Facility, where he was subsequently booked.
