EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 58-year-old wanted man was arrested for having active assault warrants after he attempted to enter the U.S. from Juarez at the Ysleta Port of Entry, according to the Horizon City Police Department.

Samuel Lozoya, 58, was arrested early Saturday morning, Aug. 2, for having three active warrants out of Horizon City for assault causing bodily injury. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $9,000 bond, according to police.
Police said that shortly after 1 a.m. on Aug. 2, officers responded to the Ysleta Port of Entry in El Paso after being notified of a wanted subject attempting to enter the U.S. from Juarez.
Upon arrival, officers met with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which identified the wanted subject as Lozoya, according to police.
A records check revealed the three active warrants Lozoya had.
