EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A person was hospitalized with injuries, and others were taken to the hospital for evaluation after a house fire on early Thursday morning in Las Cruces.
The Las Cruces Fire Department said that at about 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 16, firefighters responded to a structure fire on Sacramento Street.
Crews arrived on scene to find a home with heavy smoke and fire coming from the structure. The fire was brought under control within minutes, according to LCFD.
Seven people were transported to a hospital for evaluation, and one 46-year-old remains hospitalized with injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
