KTSM News – Irene Rojas leading for Socorro City Council seat

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A seat on the Socorro City Council is also up for grabs during the runoff elections on Saturday, Dec. 14.

Irene Rojas is leading after early voting totals were released at 7 p.m. with 46 votes or 61.33 percent. Enrique Cisneros has 29 votes or 38.67 percent.

Incumbent Yvonne Colon-Villalobos was defeated in the general election on Nov. 5, but no one was able to secure a majority of the votes, forcing a runoff.
