KTSM News – Isolated storms, triple digits, cool front for El Paso — Your 9-Day Forecast

Posted on August 21, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – El Paso! We have cool front on the way, but before we get to that, we have to address the storms and warmer temperatures we can expect in the coming days.

Let’s get straight to it.

On Thursday we can expect our high to reach 101 degrees during the day paired with winds ranging from 5-10 mph.

For Thursday evening we have a 10 percent chance of seeing storms throughout El Paso. Some areas may see more rainfall than others. Thursday’s overnight low cools off to 77 degrees.

A high of 102 degrees is our forecast temperature for Friday paired with a 10 percent chance of thunderstorms. The pattern of isolated storms will continue for most of the week as well.

Friday’s evening is expected to be a warm day as we forecast a low of 76 degrees. The night is predicted to consist of humidity from those rain chances.

As we kick off the weekend, we begin to cool off slowly.

The high for Saturday is expected to reach 100 degrees with another day of isolated storms. The rain pattern is pretty repetitive but of course, right now, rainfall chances remain slim. We have a better chance seeing rain later in the week.

Sunday is mostly sunny and a double digit. We are predicting a high of 99 degrees for the day. We are finally cooling off.

Light winds are expected throughout the day ranging from 5-10 mph. Additionally, the day is forecast to bring us 10 percent chance of storms.

This is where is gets exciting. A high of 97 degrees and 15 percent chance of thunder showers are predicted for Monday. A nice cool day for El Paso and hopefully, as we inch closer to Monday chances become higher. The predicted overnight low is 75 degrees.

Tuesday’s high is expected to reach 94 degrees, making it one of the cooler days out of the week.

There is a 15% percent chance that shower will make an appearance later in the night. We can also expect the overnight low to be a bit chilly sitting at 72 degrees.

Clouds take center stage for Wednesday.

Most of the day, clouds will bring us significant shade and our high continues to shy away from those triple digits.

The predicted high for Wednesday is 94 degrees. Evening temperature dips to 71 degrees.

Similar weather conditions are expected to be similar for Thursday except our high is to reach 97 degrees. Thursday’s overnight low is also rather cooler than most say, forecast to cool off to 72 degrees.

To top off our forecast, Friday’s high is predicted to be the coolest day out of our 9-Day Forecast with a temperature of 91 degrees.

We are 32 days away from fall. Before we know it, leaves will be falling, and pumpkin spice will be brewing.

Thank you for reading El Paso.
