EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The festival that celebrates an old German folklore tale is back at the County Coliseum for its 8th edition.
Organizer Nikki Gonzales said you can expect dozens of local vendors, food trucks and entertainment including fire dancers at the Coliseum on Saturday, Dec. 14.
The doors will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for anyone to check out a different Christmas market and get familiar with a tradition that’s been around for centuries.
According to the legend, Krampus is Santa’s evil counterpart who comes out on “Krampusnacht” which falls on Dec. 5. The old tales say he gives bad kids coal and chases them with sticks.
