EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Centro De Salud Familiar La Fe, a well-known grassroots community health clinic, will host a candidate forum this weekend.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the La Fe Culture and Technology Center, 721 S. Ochoa, rear building.
Invited candidates include: 16th and 23rd Congressional distircts; district attorney; El Paso County sheriff; and County commissioner Precinct 1.
The event’s moderators will be KTEP-FM journalist Aaron Montes and El Paso Community College (EPCC) government professor Sylvia Peregrino, PhD.
The event is organized and led by the League of Women Voters of El Paso (LWVEP), the League of United Latin-American Citizens (LULAC) of El Paso District IV, and the El Paso Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Free Spanish-language interpretation services and listening equipment will be available. Free pan dulce, coffee and juice, and refreshments will be served. Admission and parking are free.
