Posted on August 19, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A large law enforcement presence, consisting of Texas DPS and Border Patrol vehicles, was seen on the I-10 West after Executive on-ramp early Tuesday morning, Aug. 19.

Video captured by KTSM 9 News shows several Texas DPS vehicles and Border Patrol vehicles blocking the roadway and agents working at the scene.

Other people were also seen sitting on the side of the roadway and were arrested, according to our crews at the scene.

At around 6:30 a.m., TxDOT reported that the right two lanes of the on-ramp were closed due to law enforcement activity, and clearing time was until further notice.

At around 8:30 a.m., TxDOT reported that all lanes were open with no backup.

No further information has been released. We’re working on gathering more information on this incident.
