Police say the massacre happened on Saturday morning, Feb. 10, 1990, at Las Cruces Bowl on 1201 E. Amador Ave.
Police say two gunmen forced a total of seven victims, three adults and four children, ages 2, 6, 12, and 13, into an office inside the bowling alley before opening fire.
Twelve-year-old Melissia Repass who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds called 911 that morning.
Police were then dispatched to the bowling alley where the victims were found shot execution-style.
First-arriving officers found Steven Teran, 26, his daughter Paula Holguin, 6, and Amy Hauser, 13 dead.
Teran’s two-year-old daughter, Valerie Teran, was rushed to a local hospital but died shortly after.
Those who were wounded during the shooting were Melissa Repass, her mother Stephanie Senac, 34, and Ida Holguin, 33.
They were transported to area hospitals and survived. However, Senac died nine years later in 1999 from complications related to her injuries, police said.
The suspects stole an estimated $5,000 in cash from the business before setting fire to the office in what was likely an attempt to destroy evidence, according to police.
Investigators believe the suspects are Hispanic with dark complexions and spoke fluent English.
