EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) is investigating an alleged “murder-suicide” after a couple was found dead inside their home.
LCPD said a local couple was found dead at about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29 in their home at the 4000 Block of Gila Trail.
Evidence suggests the incident was a murder-suicide, LCPD said.
LCPD said the male suspect, Dennis Wyatts, was 77 and the female victim, Renate Wyatts, was 83.
LCPD did confirm the couple died to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound.
The incident is still under investigation.
