EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Las Cruces Public Libraries and AARP, which supports family caregivers, will host an Adulting for Older Adults discussion on the 988 suicide and crisis hotline next week.
The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., the City of Las Cruces said. That is on the Roadrunner Transit Route 1.
The City said the event will consist of an informative presentation by the Dona Ana County Health and Human Services Department for seniors.
The event will also discuss topics of interest to seniors, caregivers, and families including planning and caring for a family member or close friend, end-of-life options and preparation, and brain health, the City said.
Participants who require accommodation for a disability to participate in this event are encouraged to call the library at (575) 528-4102, TTY 711, at least 48 hours in advance, the City said.
